Abstract:
The
central region of Iran
in which Narâq is located, dominates a natural prone ecology and a primeval
habitation. After formation of human
society, the rural nucleus which was developed under interaction with nature
bed, has built up an organizational civilized structure in wide variety of
fields. Thereafter, shifting of the
trade paths during particular historic periods have been the most influential
motivation for thrive or wane of the cities.
Today,
the ancient cities have been threatened by the contemporary urban elements, on
the other hand, eagerness of the concerned revitalization authorities with
respect to intervening in body issues of
historical urban fabric should draw the attention of real protectors to the
fact that historical texture would be in an inevitable conjunction with totality
of the city.
The
main purpose of this study is to stipulate the extension of historical
structure of the city organization, particularly in central district, to its
future development prospects.
In
order to meet the defined objectives in regard to revitalization of Bazaar, it
is necessary to design a new role for its future existence, with due
consideration to its influence on formation and improvement of Spatial
Organization and the weakness of its today’s role.
In
this research, firstly, it was tried to understand the research subject matter
based on historical analysis method and on the basis of urbanism of Iran.
Thereafter, by using statistical and expressive techniques, the contemporary
characteristics of the city in social, economic and fundamental fields were
determined.
In
the next phase, after stipulation of theoretical and experimental issues about urban
revitalization, the suitable and viable scenarios for the city and its central
district have been proposed.
In
the last part, one of the central squares which play the role of conjunction
between historical and contemporary regions of the city has been considered as
an appropriate case for design.
